I grew up in Taiwan with classical music as a big part of my life from an early age. I was trained in both violin and piano, and later earned my Bachelor’s degree in Violin Performance from the University of Taipei. After that, I pursued a Master’s in Philosophy at National Taiwan University, where I deepened my interest in thoughtful, student-centered learning.
Over the past 17 years, I’ve had the joy of teaching students of all ages. I’m a registered Suzuki teacher and have completed Violin Units 1 through 5 with the Suzuki Association of the Americas. My students have gone on to join youth and community orchestras, and many have discovered a genuine enjoyment of music along the way.
Outside of teaching, I stay active as a performer and have continued playing in local ensembles. Since moving to the San Francisco Bay Area, I’ve played first violin with the Nova Vista Symphony and remain involved in chamber music and community performances.
In lessons, I focus on building solid fundamentals and encouraging active engagement from students. I aim to make the learning process both enjoyable and structured, helping each student develop their skills at their own pace while discovering what music can mean to them.
