A native San Franciscan, she grew up participating in local youth music programs, including GGP, SFCM, OYO, and SFSYO. She was the first recipient of the “Coaches Chamber Music Award” from SFCM in 2001. In 2018, she was recognized into the “GGP Hall of Fame” as an alumni of the Golden Gate Philharmonic, showing significant accomplishments and achievements in music performance and education.
