Hi! My name is Charlie, and I'm a university conservatory student at Lawrence University. I have been teaching violin and viola for 5 years now. I like to teach a combination of styles, including classical from method books like Suzuki, American fiddle from the Mark O'Connor method, and Irish fiddle by ear or transcriptions. I also like to pick songs as we go based on the student's interests and abilities, and I'm comfortable making simplified transcriptions of popular music. I prefer to teach virtual lessons, but can do in-person in Palo Alto.
