As a conservatory and MFA graduate from UOP and Cal Arts I have taught in the Bay Area since 1990 and have taught in various schools, high schools and studios throughout the Bay Area and at the Stanford University Graduate Center. I have also been organizing student recitals plus giving private lessons with piano and multiple string instruments. I studied with John Coppin from the LA Philharmonic and Dr. Shinichi Suzuki in Japan and have orchestral experience with different orchestras and Hollywood orchestras both locally and internationally. As a young student, I was taught ukelele by Pete Seeger and developed a love for music of all genres. I also started an international elementary and secondary school in India where I remain a founding lifelong trustee. I welcome students and adults from age 6 and over from all backgrounds who are seeking instruction which is not just traditional but also incorporates nontraditional methods.

I teach a combination of methods with an emphasis upon ear training as well as reading music notation.

I have a home studio in Redwood City and students who come to my home studio have a preference over other student applicants.
